RAB makes NPR!
2006-11-22
All Things Considered, November 21, 2006 · The Rapid Action Batallion fights crime and terrorism in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Human rights activists say 340 deaths attributed to the RAB are extra-judicial killings. But crime is down and ordinary citizens seem less concerned about a lack of due process.
I'm so-o-o-o-o-o tempted to call NPR and tell them about the Crossfire Gazette©. The traffic we'd get would run Fred's server charges to the point where he'd have to knock-over a bank. And the hate comments from the progressive types, combined with the 'ohmygodwehavebeencaught' comments from the Banglas, would choke our load times.

Decisions, decisions ...
er, let's just keep the Crossfire Gazette to ourselves, shall we? No point in having anyone poking around asking questions about how is it this person in green hilites knows so much about shutter guns and "encounters". OK?
I dunno, I hear there's a pretty penny to be had talkifying on the radio and TV 'news' shows. You could end up on Olbermann, heh.

#10  23 minutes of typographic maddness and a sickly cannine does it better in 1 line.

(doing well I hope)

#9  Well, of course NPR is going to view the RAB negatively: they kill commies.

#2  gromky - You can add the codecs to handle Real files in your medai player with this download - and forgo having to put up with the Real players. If you use Windoze, then you might also consider the Media Player Classic bundled download, instead of the lite d/l which only has the codecs.

#1  I don't have that dinosaur RealPlayer(tm), so I can't listen to NPR.

But I imagine the story is the same - "human rights" groups on the side of the criminals, and the citizens on the side of the law justice.
