(Interfax) - Russian Interior Ministry units have found and destroyed four military bases in Chechnya over the past 24 hours. "One of the destroyed bases was located in the vicinity of the village of Galaity in the Nozhai-Yurt district. Another two bases were found a kilometer and a half from the village of Meskety in the republic's Nozhai-Yurt district. The largest of them consisted of three dugouts capable of accommodating up to 50 people," a source in the headquarters of the Combined Federal Forces in the North Caucasus told Interfax by phone on Wednesday.
Ammunition, improvised explosive devices and army uniforms were confiscated from the bases, he said. |
