| Puntland president visits Galgadud region in Somalia |

| (SomaliNet) The president of the semi autonomous region of Puntland, Gen. Adde Mussa Hersi, on Sunday has paid short visit to Adado town in Galgadud province, central Somalia. The president and his delegation met the officials of Adado and it is not known what Mr. Adde had discussed with them. Galgadud was one of the provinces administered by defeated Islamic Courts Union that are now based in the port city of Kismayu, southern Somalia. It is not yet clear the objectives behind Adde MussaÂ’s trip to the region but it came as the situation in Galgaudud is calm and under the control of the Ethiopian and Somali government forces. It is for the first time that Mr. Adde visited Galgadud central region since he was elected as president of Puntland. |
