Founder of Ansar Al-Sunna group assassinated in Gaza |
2007-01-07 |
(KUNA) -- Founder of Ansar Al-Sunna group, Adel Nassar was assassinated Friday after attending Friday prayers in Al-Maghazi refugee camp in Gaza Strip. A Palestinian security source said that Nassar, accompanied by his friend Jebril Al-Aawur, was shot dead by masked gunmen. Al-Aawur sustained serious injuries and was transferred to a nearby hospital, the source concluded. I'm guessing that this is a different Ansar al-Sunna from the one in Iraq -- though I confess I can't recall having heard of this one in Gaza. |
