| Jihadis ambush and kill Thai plantation owner |

| A 68-year-old man was killed allegedly by Muslim insurgents Thursday morning on his way to meet a stranger who offered to buy his land. Police said Ma Yi-ngo was shot dead by M-16 rifle on Thursday morning. His son, Makru Yi-ngo, 25, was severely injured in the ambush and rushed to a nearby hospital. Police said Ma received a phone call from a stranger offering to buy his land and rubber plantation. Ma earlier put up a sign offering his land for sale. The caller asked Ma to meet him at the rubber plantation. The father and son rode their motorcycle to Ma's rubber plantation but they were greeted with M-16 fire, which killed the old man at the scene. |
