President Mahmud Ahmadinejad says the drive to implement the values of Islam was manifested in the country's 1979 Islamic Revolution. Ahmadinejad was speaking Saturday to members of the Supreme Council of the Religious Scholars Society in the holy city of Qom, IRNA reported.
"The grand objectives and values of the Islamic Revolution have been entrusted to the care of our brave nation. Our statesmen should take on this great responsibility and incorporate these values into their actions and decision making," Ahmadinejad said. Ahmadinejad also said that the implementation of Islamic precepts in society can culminate in what he termed was 'sheer bliss'. | "It would please our enemies and dishearten our friends if we distanced ourselves from the values of the Islamic Revolution, or the teachings of the late Imam Khomeini and the Leader Ayatollah Khamenei," the President continued, adding, "We should not be remiss in preserving the Islamic Revolution."
Ahmadinejad also said that the implementation of Islamic precepts in society can culminate in what he termed was 'sheer bliss'. "It is expected of religious scholars that they fully explain and elaborate on Islamic precepts, which can save humanity from corruption and moral decay, and further effect peace and security in society," he said |
