A Palestinian militant died on Tuesday from wounds suffered in a clash between two factions at a Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon a day earlier, security sources said.
Four other people were wounded in the fighting between Fatah Uprising and Fatah al-Islam at Nahr al-Bared camp near the port city of Tripoli on Monday night, they said. The slain gunman belonged to Fatah al-Islam. The clashes subsided overnight. Tension has been high in the camp since the Lebanese authorities announced last week that members of Fatah al-Islam had confessed to twin bus bombings in a Christian area in February that killed three people. |
