Saudi king refuses to meet Iraqi PM
2007-04-30
Saudi ArabiaÂ’s King Abdullah turned down a request to meet with IraqÂ’s Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, BaghdadÂ’s foreign minister said on Sunday, denying that the refusal was an outright snub.

The Washington Post reported on Sunday that Abdullah refused to receive Maliki before the regional summit on Iraq security, which is set for next week, because the Sunni leader is skeptical of Maliki’s Shiite government. Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, however, said the report was “not true,” although he acknowledged a requested visit had been denied. “The Saudi king’s schedule was not suitable at this time,” Zebari told CNN. “They [the Saudis] did not decline it but they said the king has an internal tour which he does occasionally. So we couldn’t agree on the timing,” he said.

#4  If Maliki could ever get his act together and draw Iraq into a coherent, stable entity the Soddy king might have reason to beware. The day could come when somebody decides that it's time to make the Arab penninsula safe for democracy.

#3  Shoot this saudi puppet and install another one. Take the oil. Smash their cities and their "temples". Back to the desert. Back to nothingness.

#1  Must be out waxing his surfboard.

Well, if Maliki would stop releasing every Shiite terrorist, perhaps they might have something to talk about.
