Peretz's advisors recommend that he quit
2007-04-30
Advisors of Defense Minister Amir Peretz said for the first time on Sunday evening that he should step down, Channel 2 reported. Peretz insisted that he did not plan to implement their advice and leave his post. Peretz, along with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and then IDF Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. (res.) Dan Halutz, are set to receive harsh criticism in Monday's release of the Winograd Committee's interim report on the Second Lebanon War.

#4  His background makes him like the 5 millionth most qualified Israeli to have the defense portfolio.

Let's see, about 5.5M Jewish Israelis, about 1.5M arab Israelis. JAB, did you mean to say that it makes him like the 7 millionth most qualified?

#1  FWIW, I recommended the same thing last summer and he did not listen to me either. His background makes him like the 5 millionth most qualified Israeli to have the defense portfolio.
