Injury toll from Turkey blast rises to 102 | |

![]() Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, who is also deputy prime minister, chaired the emergency meeting, attended by intelligence, security and military officials as well as ministers to assess measures for countering terrorism. No details were immediately available. There was no claim of responsibility but the A-4 plastic explosives believed used in the blast pointed to the outlawed separatist Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), a security source and newspapers said. Turkish media said eight people had been detained in connection with the blast. Police declined to comment.
