Ghazi's body flown to hometown for burial
2007-07-12
The body of Abdul Rashid Ghazi, deputy chief cleric of Lal Masjid, was flown by a special helicopter to his hometown of Rojhan Mazari, Rajanpur district. However, the funeral and burial was delayed due to unknown reasons, reported Geo news. GhaziÂ’s elder brother and Lal Masjid chief cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz, who was arrested on July 5, was released on parole so that he could accompany the body along with senior security officials. Other family members refused to accompany the body and insisted that Ghazi should be buried in Jamia Fareedia, next to his father Maulana Abdullah, according to his will. The channel said GhaziÂ’s body was at Fareed Airbase till late Wednesday night. Military spokesman Major General Waheed Arshad said the body of GhaziÂ’s mother had still not been identified. Graves had been dug for the burial of Ghazi, his mother and two unidentified men, police officer Qayyum Qaisarani said.

#5  I'm not advocating "desecration" and never have. What I'm suggesting is denial of proper burial rites so as to prevent—at least in Muslim eyes—the terrorists we kill in action from accessing their paradise. Essentially, this amounts to being Muslim unfriendly in whichever ways possible that represent a disincentive to engage in terrorism against the West.

#4  No,no desecration, please. See Bacon comments on earlier thread for why. It would be counter-productive.

On the other hand-- when you do kill a high level orc, just take the body away and "loose" it. Better still, Disappear the high level orcs. Deny we ever saw the orc in question. Nacht und Nebel (sp?), while less visceraly satisfying, has a far higher cumulative horror quotient.

#3  "they should be cremated and have their ashes scattered at high altitude"

Please, no. We don't want to be infected by these vermin. Cremate and smother in tar, then dump in the Marianas trench region.

#2  Muslim terrorists should be dumped in unmarked graves without ceremony or ritual. Better yet, they should be cremated and have their ashes scattered at high altitude. Whatever assures the most complete violation of Islamic burial rites. If these SOBs are so convinced of the hereafter that they cheerfully don bomb vests, then we need to send the message that their entrance into paradise will be thwarted in any way we can.

Such measures also go beyond the deceased individual in question. These methods would also eliminate the possibility of graves becoming the focus of jihadists or fellow worshippers. Every effort should be made to minimize any glorification of such scum.

Here are the Islamic burial rituals:
The corpse is washed (bathed): The main factor in this step is to physically cleanse the corpse. The method, the style and the accessories used for bathing the corpse may vary from time to time and from place to place. Bathing a corpse, in whatever method, is a part of the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh), and therefore a part of the Islamic Shari`ah.

The corpse is wrapped in a simple plain cloth. The cloth is called 'kafan' and the process 'takfeen'[1]: The main factor in this step is to respectfully wrap the corpse in a cloth so that its private parts are not visible to others. The style of this wrapping and the material and the color of the cloth used for this wrapping may vary from place to place and from time to time. However, the important aspect in the style of wrapping and the material used is that it should be a simple rather than a gaudy style and the cloth used for this purpose should also not be very flashy. It is for this reason that Muslims have generally preferred to use white cotton cloth to serve as 'kafan'. It is allowed to put some perfume on the cloth.

The Muslims of the community gather to offer their collective prayers for the forgiveness of the dead. This prayer has been generally termed as the Janazah prayer. (The prayer is offered in a particular way).

The corpse is then buried in the ground. The style of the grave and that of the burial may vary from time to time and place to place. The Islamic directive is restricted to a respectful burial in the ground.

After the burial, the Muslims who have gathered for paying their respects to the dead collectively pray for the forgiveness of the dead. This collective prayer is the last formal collective prayer for the dead.

No bathing of the corpse. No takfeen. No janazah, with a ban on all public gatherings for the purpose of praying over dead terrorists. This barbaric martyrdom bullshit is an evil that needs to be suppressed and defeated however possible. Since terrorism runs in the family, relatives must be made to grieve over their inability to properly bury the bodies of those who dedicated themselves to the savage destruction of others.

Perhaps knowing that these tresspassers against humanity will not enter the hereafter might compel more honorable family members to intervene or discourage jihadist relatives. Muslims seem to be measurably more superstitious than those of other religions. The West needs to leverage that flawed character trait in any way we can.

#1  If you dropped him in from 35,000 feet, would he 'self-bury'?
