This doesn't seem like the same emir mentioned elsewhere, but I'm not positive. Hard to keep them all straight, they're as common as cockroaches in New Orleans.

ISOF DETAIN SUSPECTED AL-QAEDA EMIR

In a separate operation Aug. 5, Iraqi Special Operations Forces, with U.S. Special Forces acting as advisors, detained a suspected al-Qaeda emir in Radwaniyah.

The alleged Sunni extremist commander is believed responsible for conducting attacks against Coalition Forces and Iraqi Security Forces southwest of Baghdad. Another suspected extremist was also detained. Both individuals are currently being held for questioning and further investigation.

No U.S. or Iraqi Forces were harmed in either operation.

#9  For the record, the chuckleheads use emir as a rank, supposedly awarded once you kill so many of the "invaders" and as I recall the number for this is 10. I suppose at this stage of the war the ones who have really killed that many are all dead unless these guys are counting women and childred

#7  Is it ostriches or emirs that hide their head in the sand when they are threatened, I never can remember?

#6  I am always confusing 'emir' with 'emu'. Is there an easy way to tell them apart?

This will probably only increase your confusion, but with proper airport profiling both of them will be flightless.

Old Mohammed had a mosque,
