(Xinhua) -- The Lebanese army on Thursday continued to hunt down Fatah al-Islam militants in northern Lebanon, killing one and capturing five, the local Naharnet news website reported. It said one militant was killed and three others were arrested following clashes in Abdeh north of the Palestinian refugee camp of Nahr al-Bared in northern Lebanon. Another two Fatah al-Islam militants were captured after a chase in Wadi Jamous, also in northern Lebanon, said the report.
On Thursday, Lebanese troops also began erecting barbed wire around the Nahr al-Bared camp to prevent anyone from leaving or entering, it added. |
