Three officials of the Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) NGO were kidnapped on Tuesday in the Doaba and Azeemi Banada areas, and taken along with their vehicle to an undisclosed location, an SRSP official said.The kidnapped SRSP personnel are engineer Asadullah, social organiser Rais Khan and driver Waheed Khan. They were headed to Hangu city from Doaba in a double cabin pick-up when they were abducted, reported the official. Doaba Police Station officials verified the kidnapping report. Later, Umar Khan, an SRSP Kohat region official, and Hangu District Police Officer (DPO) Ghulam Mohammad reached Doaba later to oversee efforts to recover the SRSP staff. The DPO said the administration was making efforts to recover the hostages, including setting up check posts on roads in the area.
