Hamas: 4 Militants Killed, (SurpriseÂ…surprise) Blames Israel

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) -- An explosion went off Wednesday in a jeep carrying four Gaza terrorists militants, killing all of them, Hamas said. The identity of the victims was not immediately known. Hamas initially said the dead were members of the Islamic terrorist militant group, but later said they might belong to another group of terrorists armed faction.

The jeep was driving in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City at the time of the blast. The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear.

Hamas said Israel had targeted the jeep in an airstrike. Israeli army officials said they had no immediate information about Wednesday's blast. Israel has repeatedly targeted Palestinian terrorists militants in airstrikes, often in response to rocket attacks on Israel.
