#4 Global Nuke = Ion Power. The young children [middle school or younger] of some families I know here on Guam use their 1990's - 2004/2005? aged TV sets only for videos and older games.Computers > besides schoolwork, are used for newest Net and rental [CD-DVD] games. |

#3 They'll have a converter box for old tuners that the government will probably give away to the first 40 million households. Either that or a voucher. We cna have vouchers for TV but not schools. go figure. |

#1 It found [LCD] TVs were fast overtaking fridges, heaters and air-conditioners as the major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions from households. Read again and savor the sheer idiocy of that statement. It is a fact the large LCD displays consume more energy than modern CRTs (I think up to 27" the LCDs are better off). But I never heard of TVs of an kind guzzling out greenhouse gases. |
