Republicans Report Much Better Mental Health Than Others |
2007-12-01 |
PRINCETON, NJ -- Republicans are significantly more likely than Democrats or independents to rate their mental health as excellent, according to data from the last four November Gallup Health and Healthcare polls. Fifty-eight percent of Republicans report having excellent mental health, compared to 43% of independents and 38% of Democrats. This relationship between party identification and reports of excellent mental health persists even within categories of income, age, gender, church attendance, and education... DNC Chairman Howard Dean responded saying "AAAAAAHHHHHHYYYYYY!!!" |

#12 #11: "anxious to expand into a sapient species ecological niche" Perhaps, gg, but what does a sapient species have to do with |

#11 Cattle have a societal utility. Progressives? Not so much You wouldn't say it if you were a chimpanzee anxious to expand into a sapient species ecological niche. |

#10 Bush Derangement Syndrome is definitely a mental condition, and a large percentage of Donks adhere to it religiously. That alone tips the scales in the Repuglycon's direction. This Independent also has a bit of sanity left - just enough to know how and why I'm insane (actually, it was a pre-condition to my employment in the Air Force...). |

#6 I think DMFD nailed the causality, even if he did mean lower instead of lowing; despite evidence to the contrary, Progressives are not cattle. |

#5 I'm an independent and, since I don't expect the Evil Cheney to personally show up at my house with a grenade launcher to kill my dog, I guess I'm okay... |

#4 Going around whining that "I stink, my country stinks, my culture stinks" is not healthy. No wonder liberals report lowing mental health. |

#3 More proof that Republicans are liars! (that's a joke, I'm not a troll.) |

#2 When you can tie 80 to 90% of your life to principles and not have to rationalize diametrically opposed concepts for every occasion, good mental health becomes easier. Or to paraphrase Mark Twain; If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.* * Just sit back and watch as the Donks rewrite history on the 'surge'. |
