2007-12-26
(SomaliNet) Somalia’s Hawiye opposition clan leader, who is still hiding in somewhere in the capital said on Tuesday the arrival of the Burundian peacekeepers will not change the current violent situation in the country. Speaking to the local media in disclosed location, the leader of the Hawiye Traditional and Unity Council, Mohamed Hassan Haad expressed his view against the Burundian troops deployment. “I do believe that the Burundian troops have nothing to do with the violence escalating in Somalia,” said Haad.
Not at all, you just can't show your face anywhere ...
He stressed that peace could not be introduced unless the Ethiopian troops withdraw the country. “if Ethiopian forces pull out of our country the solution for the violence in Mogadishu will come soon,”
Just as soon as Mohamed and his krazed killers are in charge, you betcha ...
Mr. Haad also noted that the Ethiopian troops in Somalia celebrated for their one year old occupation and that is an indication for how the Ethiopians are pleasant with their presence in the country.

Burundi sent nearly 200 soldiers into Somalia as part of the African Union peacekeepers. It is the second African country that its forces in Somalia. The tiny central African country (Burundi) has earlier pledged to deploy a total of 1,700 soldiers to Somalia to join some 1,600 Ugandan soldiers based in the volatile capital Mogadishu.
