During the last six years, he said, the MMA had played a major role for preserving the religious seminaries, human rights and Islamic clauses in the Constitution. He said had the MMA and the JUI been not in the Parliament, the government could ensure the implementation of the plan devised by the US related to the sanction on religious seminaries and the removal of Islamic clauses from the Constitution.
Criticising Benazir Bhutto, Fazl warned that if voted to power she would allow the US forces to hunt terrorists in Pakistan, remove Islamic clauses from the Constitution and meet all the demands related to the nuclear assets. He advised the citizens to reject the elements following the US agenda in the elections. He vowed to work in collaboration with other political parties for the restoration of the judiciary on the pre-Nov 2 position and the 1973 Constitution. |
