Chihuahua takes a bite our of crime |

AUBURN, Calif. - A 3-pound Chihuahua mix named Tink helped police bag their chalupa. The pint-sized McGruff’s Christmas Day adventure began when four suspects on the run from the cops crashed a stolen minivan in the plucky pooch’s neighborhood. One of the suspected car thieves bolted on foot. Tink, a Pomeranian and Chihuahua mix - but no skittish lapdog - sniffed out one man under a neighbor’s motor home and chased him into the woods, said proud owner Wendy Anderson. Her son and husband then directed a law enforcement helicopter to where the 20-year-old suspect was hiding. “The Chihuahua gave him up,” California Highway Patrol officer Jeff Herbert confirmed. . . . |
