Bomb damages PAF truck, no casualties |
2008-02-01 |
A roadside blast damaged a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) truck in Akora Khattak on Thursday, but there were no casualties, officials said. They said that it was not immediately clear whether the vehicle, carrying three people, was the target. “A roadside bomb blast occurred when a truck was passing near Akora Khattak,” an air force spokesman told AFP. “The truck was damaged slightly and there are no injuries.” “It was a remote controlled bomb planted between two roads. When the vehicle came close, unknown miscreants detonated the bomb,” senior police official Mubarik Zeb said. A suicide car bomber wounded five children in an attack on a PAF school bus in the northwest in December, one of a series of attacks targeting military vehicles and installations over the past year. |
