Firing on election rallies in Pakistan wounds over 10

(KUNA) -- More than 10 persons were wounded Thursday as unknown gunmen opened fire at the election rallies of two leading political parties in Pakistan. In this first incident, unknown armed motorcyclists opened fire at the election rally of Pakistan Muslim League (N), led by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, in Hafizabad city of Eastern Punjab province, police sources told KUNA.

They said more than six persons were wounded and four of them are said to be in critical condition.

In another incident, said sources further, about five persons were wounded in a similar incident in Mir Pur Khas area of Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

Meanwhile, a bomb exploded inside the office of PML-N in Naushki town of Southwestern Baluchistan province, said sources.

They said no one was hurt in the explosion but the office furniture was damaged.
