A Strange Little Company
2008-02-21
(Does anything about this little start-up impress you as 'odd'?)

"Thorium Power, Ltd., a development stage company, engages in the development, promotion, and marketing of nuclear fuel designs in the United States. It primarily develops thorium/weapons-grade plutonium disposing fuel, thorium/reactor-grade plutonium disposing fuel, and thorium/uranium nuclear fuel."

Headquarters: McLean, VA

"Thorium Power Appoints Dr. Hans Blix as Senior Advisor"

"...the leading developer of low-waste, non-proliferative nuclear fuel technology for existing and future reactors, today announced that a new formal agreement has been reached with Russia's Kurchatov Institute relating to the irradiation testing program for the Company's fuel designs, which has been ongoing since 2002. The agreement assigns to Thorium Power Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Thorium Power, Ltd., the worldwide rights, title and interest in and to the technical data generated from the ampoule irradiation testing of seed and blanket fuel samples in the Kurchatov research reactor over the past two years."

#7  Recycled nuke wastes for fuel/energy ala Army-DARPA + Penn State + Micro/Nano-tech engines.

#6  What got my spider sense tingling was first its location: McLean, VA, home of the CIA and NSA.

Second and third were Blix, who you would *think* is a personna non grata in the area of the US government. And of course the Russians and the nuclear material.

Since then, I've picked up on some other details.

AMBASSADOR THOMAS GRAHAM, JR., Exec. Chairman and Member of Exec. Committee. Check out this guy's bio:

But here is the bottom line of the whole deal:

#5  Well, I'm only "Honored" with the Thorium Brotherhood, and have intention of working up to "Exhalted", so I don't have a vote, but Blix, IMHO should be fed to a Fel Reaver. heh.

#4  A channel for weapons/reactor grade plutonium processing information (for the past 2 years) straight out of Russia to the highest bidder?

Read it a few times, it gets worse every time you do.

#2  A channel for weapons/reactor grade plutonium technical processing information straight back to Russia?

#1  Ummm, Yeah "Dr Hans Blix Senior Advisor" is distinctly odd.

(Copy)
Hans Blix is the Chief weapons inspector in Iraq. He works for the United Nations.
