3 more militants lay down arms in Swat |

Police said on Thursday that three more militants had surrendered to authorities in Koza Banda, Swat district. The militants surrendered themselves to the district administration through the Aman (peace) Committee. They were later released after three personal surety bonds and guarantee of the Aman Committee. In Swat, around 155 militants have surrendered since January 24. However, security at checkposts has been further tightened and routine patrolling was continuing. Curfew was relaxed from 6am to 8pm in the entire Swat district on Thursday. All bazaars and shopping centers were open and life was normal in the town. |
