2008-03-04 |
![]() A Khasadar force personnel told Daily Times that the security forces and the militants came face to face at the checkpost, 15 kilometres to the northwest of the agency headquarters Ghalanai, when the latter were going to Gandab from Qandharo. The security forces intercepted the car and tried to search it but the militants refused. The political administration intervened and offered to solve the problem through a jirga but to no avail, following which the security forces fired rockets at the car. An eyewitness said the car was burnt to ashes. The Peshawar-Bajaur Road remained closed meanwhile. The security forces have cordoned off the area. |
