(Xinhua) -- The death toll from a car bomb attack in central Baghdad on Thursday rose to 10, with 50 others wounded, an Interior Ministry source said on Friday. "The final toll from the Bab al-Sharji area car bombing rose to10 killed and 50 others injured," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. The attack took place at about 2:00 p.m. (1100 GMT) when a booby-trapped car parking near the commercial building of al-Khaiyam in the crowded area of Bab al-Sharji detonated, the source said. Earlier, the source put the toll at seven civilians killed and 20 others wounded. |
