| Iran: Supreme leader saves woman from stoning |

 (AKI) - Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has saved mother of two Mokarrameh Ebrahimi from execution by stoning. The woman was released from Tehran's notorious Evin prison on Wednesday ahead of the Iranian New Year. Ebrahimi's lover, Jafar Kiani, by whom she had her two children, was stoned to death last year in Takestan, some 100 kilometres from Tehran. |
