| Brooklyn, 2008... March 20, 2008 -- An assistant rabbi whose yarmulke was swiped by Arab men turned the tables on his tormentors, chasing one into a Brooklyn street where the thief was struck by a car and arrested, police said yesterday. Uria Ohana, 25, a member of the Chabad Lubavitch movement, told The Post he entered a subway station alone at Fourth Avenue and Ninth Street in Park Slope at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday. Ohana said he went through a turnstile and spotted a group of young Arabic men sitting on a bench. "I wasn't afraid of anything. I didn't think anything would happen," he said. But something did. Ohana said he felt a hand grab his brown yarmulke off his head. He then spun around and came face to face with one of the men, Ali Hussein, 18, police said. "There were no words exchanged. I decided to chase him to get my yarmulke back," Ohana said. Hussein's friends joined in the foot pursuit, screaming "Allah-hu Akbar," which means "God is great." They ran outside and Hussein darted into the street, where he was hit by a blue Volvo and toppled to the ground, cops said. "He couldn't move. He broke his leg. He was crying," said Ohana. I'da been laughing my ass off. Looks like Allah don't think you're so akbar, douchebag. Hussein's friends then jumped into a suburban GMC and sped away. Good luck, Ali! Allah-hu Akbar! We'll be running away now!!
Yeah, let's see what happens to this kid...

| #11 I thought the Satmar Hasidim were the physical ones. You know more than I about such things, Eric. (Satmar?) But I don't imagine the general run of prison inmate knows such specifics beyond the stereotype. |

| #10 No one spends a decade in Rikers; that prison is used for pre-trial confinement and sentences of < 1 year, if I remember correctly. For longer sentences, you go up the river. And I thought the Satmar Hasidim were the physical ones. Anyhow, I'm guessing that the kid will be protected by his religious compatriots. |

| #8 TW, An 18 year old? They'll all come back...and probably be a WHOLE LOT closer to Ali than he'd prefer. I suspect he'll be rather "intimate" with more than a few of his fellow inmates. |

| #7 Poor Ali Hussein is not going to have it easy in prison, I suspect. This reminds me of the verse in the Alice's Restaurant song where he was on the Group W bench, and when he told the murderers and father-rapers that he was there for littering, they all moved away from him. How pathetic is it to try to snatch a hat from one of the curly sidelock crew, only to be caught because you tripped over a car and broke your leg? |

| #4 Police arrested Hussein for alleged aggravated harassment as a hate crime. That can add 10 years to any sentence. Have a nice decade in Rikers. |
