KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysian police detained 58 foreign women in anti-vice raids from two karaoke outlets in the southern state of Johor, reports said Monday.Police detained 49 Thai nationals, three Indonesians and six Filipino nationals as well as some 100 local men from the two locations, said head of criminal investigations Amer Awal. ‘We suspected immoral activity was going on because some of the rooms have mattresses in them,’ he was quoted as saying by the Star daily. Police also uncovered secret passages leading to various hideouts at both premises, he said.
