| US gunships kill 30 Iraqi militants in Babylon |

| (KUNA) -- Around 30 Iraqi militants were killed Wednesday when Israeli warplanes bombarded groups of gunmen in babylon south of Baghdad, an Iraqi security source told KUNA. He added that US helicopter gunships bombed militants gathering in neighborhoods of Al-Askari and Nader in the city of Hella, Babylon's largest cities. He said at least 30 militants were killed and a number of houses were destroyed in the bombardment. Babylon was a scene of sporadic clashes between the security forces and Al-Mahdi army militias yesterday. |
