| At least 24 killed, 26 injured in Iraqi violence |

| BAGHDAD - At least 24 people were killed and 26 injured in separate attacks in Iraq, sources and US military said on Saturday. US air force continued to strike Baghdad's Shiite Sadr City on Saturday, killing 18 people and wounding 23, medical sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa. The sources said the dead included Meanwhile, the US military said their soldiers killed six suspected terrorists during operations in Baghdad on Friday and Saturday. During military operations in Jabla, in the southern city of Hillah, joint US-Iraqi security forces detained 29 suspected terrorists, security sources said, adding that a number of weapons and explosives were also confiscated. In Kirkuk, some 250 kilometres north of Baghdad, three Iraqi police officers were wounded when a bomb went off targeting an Iraqi patrol, police sources said. |
