| Kabul releases Hekmatyar's son-in-law |

| Dr Gharat Baheer, the son-in-law of former Afghan premier Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, arrived in Peshawar on Thursday following his release from Afghanistan after serving six years in United States’ detention. Dr Baheer, spokesman for the Hizb-e-Islami, told reporters at Peshawar airport that his release was not the result of any deal. “I don’t know why I was arrested and why freed,” said Baheer, who was arrested in Islamabad in 2002 by Pakistani forces. |
