| 3,000 displaced families returned to Falluja- police |

| (VOI) – A total of 3,000 displaced families have returned to their homes in Falluja, one year after the end of military operations conducted by Iraqi security forces and Sahwa (Awakening) councils in Anbar province, Falluja police commander revealed on Sunday. In a Baghdad-based joint press conference with the head of Falluja Judiciary Council and Falluja mayor, the city's police chief, Colonel Faisal Ismail Hussein said: "3,000 families, which had been displaced from Falluja when the city was under al-Qaeda organization's control, returned home. The military operations conducted by Iraqi police forces and the Sahwa councils in Anbar province have succeeded." "I call on the government to increase the number of police forces in the city," Hussein said, noting "there are only 2,488 policemen in this big city." |
