Gunmen kill lawyer at office in Mosul |

Ninewa, Jun. 15, (VOI) – Unknown gunmen on Sunday shot dead an attorney inside his office in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, a provincial police source said. "Unidentified armed men on Sunday afternoon assassinated attorney Adil Hussein al-Wagaa, while he was inside his office, at al-Dargazliya neighborhood, eastern Mosul ," the source told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq. "The gunmen raided al-Wagaa's office, and shot him dead, then escaped," he added. The source did not mention further details, but noted that al-Wagaa's corpse "was admitted to the city's morgue." Earlier on Sunday, a source from Ninewa police said that unknown gunmen opened fire on Prof. Waleed Saad-Allah al-Molla of al-Mosul University , when he was on his way to work, at al-Hadbaa neighborhood. Al-Molla died instantaneously, while two of his sons were injured in the attack, one of them is seriously wounded. Al-Mosul, capital city of Ninewa province, is 405 km north of Baghdad. |
