Police frustrate murder and robbery attempt in Tubas |

Ma'an- The police media office in Tubas announced Sunday that they had successfully frustrated an attempted robbery and murder. The head of Tubas' public investigation branch said that police officers detained two civilians who had planned a theft in the home of a Tubas woman. According to the report, the thieves had also planned on killing the woman. Those arrested have criminal records, and when questioned, admitted to planning on entering her house, stealing her jewelry and murdering her then fleeing to inside the Green Line. According to the report, police had been keeping an eye on the men, who were known criminals. They two men were handed over to the public prosecution in order to continue with legal procedures. The arrests are seen as a success for the police of the Tubas governorate, who have been working to improve their ability to deal with petty crimes. |
