(VOI) -- The deputy governor of Diala province was released shortly after his arrest by a joint U.S.-Iraqi force, a local security source said. "Awf Abdelrahman was released today, a few hours after his arrest by a joint U.S.-Iraqi force," the source, who requested anonymity, told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI). During the early hours of Monday morning, a joint U.S.--Iraqi force arrested the Diala deputy governor, Awf Abdelrahamn, in his house in Shahraban area, al-Muqdadiya district (45 km northeast of Baaquba). |
