(VOI) -- Iraqi army forces on Wednesday closed an office of al-Hadbaa National Unified Gathering in Ninewa, and arrested the office's director, in the northern part of the province, said the gathering head. "Iraqi army forces arrested Murad Kashto Assi (Yazeedi), the gathering's head at al-Shemal district of Senjar suburb (110 km northwest of Mosul), and closed the gathering's office, without giving any reasons," Atheel al-Nujaifi told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI). "The office was first raided and then closed by the forces," he said, without mentioning any further details. Al-Hadbaa National Unified Gathering is a political entity in Mosul headed by Atheel al-Nujaifi, brother of lawmaker Osama al-Nujaifi, and embraces a number of alliances and gatherings of different races and religions in the province.
