#12  "History repeats itself, second time as farce?"

The first time was farce, Raj honey.

#11  Because the Caribbean was so last Spring, and its so embarassing trying to order a fancy salad in Europe without knowing a second language. Time to show how typical a person he is by spending a week in Hawaii maybe get TMZ to take some surfing photos or some scuba pics in Kaneohe Bay.

Every time he does something incredibly stupid (rather than the run of the mill stupid) he runs and hides for a week. Trying to avoid the issues for a week? Waiting for bad press to blow over? Can't handle the pressure? Getting too tired to work? Not interested in campaigning to the fullest? No business being POTUS.

#10  Doesn't seem to be a prudent move for "the Big O". Leaving the playing field at the beginning of a big game and leaving it to his two arch enemies - John and Hill. If they can't carve him up good during his time out, then I've seriously misjudged them both. What do the Spanish crowds yell at the moment that the matador does the kill? Ole!

#9  Me thinks he is tending to internal issues.

Hillary is out there telling her delegates to stay put and she is keeping her name on the nomination ballot.

She smells blood with BO's weak polls versus McCain (who is getting no coverage from the media).

All hell is going to break loose at the convention. If at the end of the day, Hillary winds up with the nomination (and it is still possible with some of the superdelegates on the fence), then you will see a very strange presidential campaign in October.

Remember the super delegate thing was cooked up between the DNC and Hillary to guarantee that she got the nomination. The "big turbans"(no pun intended) in the DNC still think that Hillary is a better candidate. Of course this whole Hillary thing is a weak kneed ploy to help slick Bill circumvent the term limits in the Constitution. You can be assured that even with Hillary with the title, it would be Bill who is the de facto prexy.

This is all great theater. The Clintons ignore the polls that show the moderate Dems and most independents can't STAND the woman. A messy floor fight and any thing resembling a back room deal and Hillary getting the nomination will almost guarantee that Big John is the next president.

The only way John will lose the presidency is to screw up his VP selection. And the MSM know this, they will have the blood hounds out looking for any kind of tawdry scandal they can find to sully the VP selection.....

I personally will get out my tux and give some money to John. Maybe I'll get an invite to the inaugural ball.

#8  In one news clip I saw the other day, as he bounded out onto the stage, he saluted! And this wasn't to a military crowd! I guess his version of "Reporting for duty."

#6  He's going to Hawaii to fix that birth certificate before Bill Burkett screws it up.

#5  Is this Hillary's hudna?

Seems like a good time to rearm and prepare all those booby traps for when the big Zero comes flying back.

It's entirely possible that the vacation itself is a gaffe.

#4  Kerry took a week off during his run in 2004; that's where we got the windsurfing photos. Things kinda went south for him after that.

History repeats itself, second time as farce?

#3  But will there be more gaffes while he's 'on vacation'? I'll miss his feet-in-mouth reports.

#2  McCain Sets up a town hall meeting with military families, and Obama declines and goes to Hawaii on vaction for a fund raiser instead.

Combine this with the Landstuhl snub, and the picture of his true disdain for the military is becoming quite clear.

#1  His ratings are getting weak and weaker vv MCCAIN, even among Dem voters and despite promoting the Dems' "talking points", AND BILLARY KNOWS IT!
