#3 Weirdly enough, most beach sand is parrot fish poop. A very bizarre critter, the parrot fish eats an enormous amount of live coral, grinding it to fine sand with two sets of teeth, in the process and swallowing it. Don't ask about the mucus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parrot_fish |
