| Yemeni primitives abduct German engineer, two workers of gas firm |

| Yemeni tribesmen have abducted a German engineer and two Yemeni workers of a gas firm in the Arabian Peninsula country, an official at the company where they work said on Sunday. The three men who work for Yemen LNG Ltd were abducted in the Shebwa region in the south, the official said. Disgruntled tribesmen have often kidnapped Western tourists to demand better living conditions, schools and services in the Yemen, one of the world's poorest countries outside Africa. Earlier this month tribesmen kidnapped a South African woman and her two sons, demanding that authorities release a group of prisoners. They released them a few days after. |
