Forty more BDR men were shown arrested Thursday for their alleged involvement in the Feb 25-26 carnage inside the headquarters of the border force while a big band of 52 remanded, reports UNB. From among the fresh arrests, 20 were taken on five-day remand while another 20 sent to jail.Court sources said 40 mutiny suspects were produced before the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Rashid Kabir by CID police in the afternoon. The plainclothes police sought them on 10-day remand for interrogating them as part of a long-drawn investigation process being carried on to unveil the mystery behind the carnage. After hearing, the court granted 5 days.
Meanwhile, earlier-arrested another 32 BDR jawans were also taken on five-day remand when they were produced before the same court this afternoon.
