Appears 7.62x39 (AK ammo) bought by the US for the Afghan Army is finding it's way to the bad guys.

#4  Welcome to counterinsurgency in a classically corrupt country. I'm surprised anyone really cares. It's AK ammo - that shit is like water. It just flows until it finds its own level.

IIRC, they had a hell of a time with Iraqi units selling off their spare magazine loads as soon as they were issued them back before the surge. Probably still a problem, it's just not been reported as such recently.

The only way to do that is to simultaneously take out every "city" of 500,000 or more from Morocco to Indonesia, and from Albania to Kinshasa, especially those in Soddy Arabida (Riyadh, Mecca, Medina, Jedda, and Dahran for starters). The only way the US could do that is using nukes, most likely sub-launched nukes (they're bigger). I don't see anyone in Washington with the stones to do that, and the screaming and gnashing of teeth from Eurabia would be deafening.

Sri Lanka showed exactly what has to be done, and the reaction of the "west" to such brutality. Sometimes, brutality is the only thing that's going to work.
