LANDIKOTAL: As many as 5,000 Afghan nationals have left Abdal Khad and Gagra areas in Landikotal, Khyber Agency after a three-day deadline asking them to leave the area expired on Friday. On May 20, the administration had given a three-day notice to the Afghans to vacate their homes, otherwise they would be forced to leave and their homes would be demolished, official sources said.
"Yew ain't from 'round here, are yew?" | An administration source said Afghans in the adjoining areas might also be ordered to leave soon.
Meanwhile, local elders demanded that the government force Afghan nationals to leave the area, as they were involved in criminal activities.
