#3  JosephM, even my technophobe mother is learning how to use Gmail. I don't know anything about protocols, but I've managed to teach her which thingies to click on to open emails and send off replies to her friends. We even figured out how to find emails that seemed to have disappeared (they were in the Draft or Sent folders). Granted, Mama does have a PhD, but it's in the special ed. branch of psychology... while I seem to have gone in for collecting useless but interesting knowledge rather than sheepskins. Rather than mastering the details of Gmail, which we leave to my brother and sister the computer professionals, she and I have gone for basic usability.

#2  AOL includ AOL MAIL had gotten a lot better since the POTUS Clinton days of yore, while the younger GOOGLE MAIL has only gotten more confusing and oper cumbersome, etc. despite its massive avail Byte capacity. ALMOST HAVE TO BE A POST-PHD NET/WEB ENGINEER TO REMEMBER ALL THE VARIOUS OR "USEFUL" GOOGLE MAIL PROTOCOLS.
