| Wanted man captured in Kut |

| Aswat al-Iraq: Wassit province's Quick Response Department forces captured a wanted man on charges of involvement in the murder of two policemen in al-Kut city, the QRD commander said on Thursday. "The interior ministry's QRD managed on Thursday to captured a wanted man for involvement in the murder of a police officer in the rank of first lieutenant and another policeman during a raid on his house in central Kut," Lt. Colonel Aziz Latif al-Amir told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. "The wanted man confessed during initial investigations to having murdered First Lieutenant Abbas Annad Hamza and policeman Hussein Hameed," he added. Amir noted that the man was arrested in accordance with Article 4 of the law on terrorism. |
