Taliban Power Struggle Claims Hakeemullah Mehsud?
2009-08-08
Firing reportedly occurred during a meeting of the banned group Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leaders, and Hakmiullah Mehsud, the spokesman of the TTP, was wounded or killed, local TV channel reported Saturday.
This keeps up and I'm going to need a new ululator ...
Armed clash was reported to have occurred between two groups of banned TTP during the Shura (council) meeting of its leaders to elect a new chief, and Hakmiullah Mehsud, the spokesman of the TTP was wounded or killed, the private TV channel DAWN News reported.

Pakistan's most wanted militant commander, Baitullah Mehsud, was reportedly killed along with his wife and bodyguards by United States missile attack on Wednesday. The other leaders of the group have held meeting to elect a new chief since Friday.

Analysts said the death of Baitullah Mehsud will deal a major blow to the TTP as its division in splinter groups seems imminent.

"Our shura has decided to provide the media a video of Baitullah Mehsud in two or three days as evidence of his being alive."

#4  We should rid our ranks of all impotent thinking. All views that overestimate the strength of the enemy and underestimate the strength of the people are wrong.
