[Geo News] A 220 KV high transmission line, going from Guddo to Quetta has been destroyed in Dera Allah Yar, Naseerabad. According to QESCO sources, a 220 KV tower came down when some miscreants targeted it using a remote detonated bomb.
Power supply from Guddo has been suspended after the blast, causing power outages in various parts of Balochistan including Quetta.
Meanwhile, QESCO rescue teams reached on the spot and inspected the affected tower. According to QESCO the maintenance of the tower will begin in next 24 hours, however it may take a full week to fix it.
Earlier, the miscreants destroyed two 220 KV towers in the same region and their repairing has not yet been started.
