| #3 The host city pays the bills. The developers and the politicians pocket the money at the expense of the taxpaying public. It's a universal truth. The Olympics are all about money, using the athletes as a vehicle to get it. People think that it is prestige to host the Olympics. They can think that all they want, while the politicians and developers laugh all the way to the bank. So long, suckers, see ya in the funny papers. |
