TEGUICGALPA, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The elected President of Honduras, Porfirio Lobo of the National Party (PN) said on Monday that his main concern is the future, starting on June 27, 2010 when he will take office and begin a four-year term.Lobo said in a press conference that he is willing to start the national dialogue to solve the political crisis in the country, However, he said the issue related to the de facto President Roberto Micheletti and ousted President Manuel Zelaya will be decided by the National Congress on Dec. 2.
Lobo said that the National Congress is the one in charge of giving a sentence on Zelaya's restitution, as it was established at the Tegucigalpa-San Jose Agreement (TSJA), which was signed by both sides. However, Lobo said, "the Micheletti-Zelaya issue is related to the future of Honduras, the one deciding Zelaya's restitution is the National Congress."
Lobo added that everybody will be invited to the dialogue beyond their political opinions and views, or social sectors, "We are not going to agree on everything, but at least on fundamental issues, like the welfare of the Honduran people."
Lobo insisted that the electoral process is not related to the events of June 28, when Zelaya was ousted and taken by force to Costa Rica.
Lobo added that he is not thinking about running for the reelections, according to him, his main concern is to solve the problems Honduran people face daily, "If I make a reform (to the Constitution) it will not be for personal reasons, but in order to bring benefits to the people."
