Lucky's, Camels & Pall Malls...gallons of Rot-gut vod/bourb/rye/gin while it's still available, early & often ammo buys, harsh Maxwell House by the ton and sealed alcohol wipes...Ah, " Life is good." | #15 Guns, corn squeezings, hunting, agriculture and home food prep. People of which political predilection will excel at these? I'm thinking of a cousin who is an urbanite, eats nearly all of her meals out, and couldn't debone a chicken or fillet a fish if her life depended on it, much less skin a buck, make sausage, can plum jelly, or brew her own beer. And she starts breaking out in a cold sweat if she finds out the house or apartment she's in contains a firearm. Oh yeah, she's a screaming honking moonbat, too. But you all knew that. What will her place be if the scenario imagined comes to pass? You all knew that, too. |

There will be dead chickens everywhere. ;-) Surely only half would be dead, gorb, the other half having taken over the backyard's government. Cornsilk Blondie is right. Even after the apocalypse there will be those willing and able to afford quality likker. At such times one wants pioneering necessities (including a couple of Eagle Scouts and/or engineers) and a nice selection of serious small luxuries for trade that will keep in storage for a decade or two if necessary. |

| #7 It is certainly time to troubleshoot the "experimental" easy credit, post-WWII economic model. Debt must be returned, at all levels, to the old concept of "Credit is for those who don't need it." Seeing this upcoming international economic collapse can be done in two ways. Most will try to rebuild and stabilize the existing failed system, reinforcing defeat. And this will just delay recovery. The real recovery will only happen with a return to the pre-WWII economic model, where all debts must be resolved at the end of each debt cycle, before any new debts can be taken. And debt rollovers must be 100% justified in cash, before the rollover can happen. |

| #6 I think the main effect will be a collapse in world trade as the Yen and other currencies become non-convertable. Which will result in the West repatriating the industries they have outsourced to Asia. There will be severe shortages of many goods for a while, particularly electronics. The USA will likely be the least affected as it has the most self-contained economy. |
